I have visited this town recently and really liked the place because of many reasons so I decided to share 5 reasons why you need to visit Kasol here it is
Small Town
kasol is a very small town covered in total of 5km or maybe less. A very small market but superb at the same time. You will find many home stay, hotels & camps available easily to you. But yes it is weekend place so if you visiting on the main season time then better you pre book your stay
Nearby treks
Here you can do so many treks starting with ChalaM, malana, Grahan, kheerganga and many more which is even more exciting. You can research and according to your convenience you can select your trekking day depending on the treks distance n difficulty. If you want to have a good raw trekking experience then this could be a great experience.
River side
Wow, the entire valley is alongside the river which is the most amazing thing about kasol especially for me. You can hear the sound of river all day n night which is amazing. You can choose the hotel or campsite or homestay near riverside. There are many places which is actually located at the bank of the river, which mean you can have breakfast, dinner or tea at the river while mountain gazing.
Surrounded by villages
It is also surrounded by many villages which offer you superb home stay services or maybe you can find good hotel their also. Some of them are like 5 km away or some more and it will give different experience then staying in Kasol. I had a great time staying at Katgala, which is again superb place and just a km away from Kasol and there are so many other options available
Budget friendly
One of theimportant things when it comes to travelling which is expense, according to me Kasol is not so expensive. Some of the restaurants are superb in terms of food and experience. Food at the hotel also we got is good at both places I stayed so complaint about the food. Staying or hotel charges also seems reasonable to me which is from 1000-1400 INR per night basis.
So if you like these kinds of places where you can just spend some time while drinking tea n eating Maggie then this could be your next destination. Yes, Kasol is famous for something else but trust if you are not up for that then also it is totally cool, I had a really good time at KASOL and hope you to. Enjoyyyyy
